Your project does not have to be as complex, but should incorporate design into it.

Steps to Completion

1. Complete the handouts that develops your theme and concept for the game.

2. Create your instructions for the project. You should incorporate images that "match" the game board with the same design theme. This should be made in Photoshop (use Alignment and Proximity)

Include:

•Game Title

•Ages

•Contents

•Set Up

•Objective

•Playing the Games (Steps, Rules, Directions)

3.Develop the board and game pieces. Be sure to consider the principles of good design to maximize the visual appeal of your game.

**You will advance using dice or flipping cards. You will need to incorporate this into the rules.

Guidelines

I will send you to read these if you ask me questions that I know are in here.
  • You CANNOT use pre-created cartoons (Tom and Jerry, any Disney people, Spongebob, etc.)
  • You do need a theme (see handout)
  • You need at least 50 spaces
  • You need instructions
  • You need play pieces
  • You need some cards to allow alternatives in the game (similar to Monopoly, where you land on a spot and draw a card)
  • You will need at least two short cut options in the game
  • You will be using dice to move forward, unless, you want to draw a card to see how far you move forward, in which case, you better have a lot of cards.
