Learning to use the pen tool
PART 1: Frog Cutout
Must cut out one of the three animals for full credit. must be posted on your Google classroom.
You will use the pen tool to create a path around the frog or another animal to delete the background off. You will need to use the Path Menu to make selection and then go back to the layer you are working on to delete the selection.
You can make a series of small selections to cut out the background. Tips When using the Pen Tool: If you just click, you will create a hard corner. If you click hold and drag, you will make a rounded corner. You will click and drag around the outline of the frog. Do small sections first and you will need to CLOSE THE PATH. Once you are there, you will need to go to you Path Menu (if not there, go to Window on top and Select Paths). Then right click on the Work Path and choose Make Selection. Simply click Delete or Backspace at this point. Terms: Path Anchor Point Handlebar If you grasp the concept quickly, I will ask that you elaborate on your image and make it "funky" by making a "Fruit Frog", I will show you how if you need help. |
